Sayings of Muhammad (pbuh)

Status of Mothers

The Messenger (peace be upon him) asked (a man seeking to go on military expedition), ‘Do you have a mother?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ He (peace be upon him) replied, ‘Remain with her, for paradise lies beneath her feet.’

Being Just

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Do you know who will go first on the Day of Resurrection to the shade of God? …Those who judge in favour of others as they do for themselves.”

Lawful Earnings

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked what type of earning was best, and he replied: “A man’s work with his hands and every (lawful) business transaction.”

Behaviour of a Muslim

“A true believer is one who does not hurt others with his thoughts, words or actions.”

A Seed of Faith

“On the Day of Resurrection I will intercede and say, ‘O my Lord! Admit into Paradise (even) those who have faith equal to a mustard seed in their hearts.’

Feeding the Needy

“A man has sinned enough if he neglects to feed those in need.”

The Powerful Person

“Powerful is not he, who knocks the other down, indeed powerful is he, who controls himself in a fit of anger.”

What God Looks Towards

“Indeed God does not look to your bodies and your appearances, but He looks at your hearts and actions.”

Good to environment

“If any Muslim plants a tree or sows a field, and a human, bird or animal eats from it, it shall be reckoned as charity from him.”

Being Merciful

“Be merciful to those who dwell on Earth so that the One in Heaven may be merciful to you.”

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black, neither does a black have any superiority over a white, except by piety and good action.”

“God is Rafeeq (gentle) and loves Rifq (gentleness), and He grants due to gentleness and he does not grant due to harshness…”

Treatment of Wives

“The most perfect in faith amongst believers is he who is best and kindest to his wife.”

Elders and Children

“Whoever does not show mercy to our little ones (children) and does not respect the rights of our elders, then he is not one of us.”

No compulsion is there in religion. Rectitude has become clear from error. So whosoever disbelieves in idols and believes in God, has laid hold of the most firm handle, unbreaking; God is All-hearing, All-knowing.”(Quran 2:256)
